It was established in 1947 as the “Jackson Cold Storage Company.” After 50 years of business, Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Company was purchased by Dan Marino. Dan has always had an interest in hunting and game processing, which led him to the purchase and business of processing buffalo and elk. The Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Company was fairly small and he thought he could develop and grow the company. With a strong core of long time employee, you could definitely say this is a family business.
For 60 years Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Company has specialized in only the finest 100% buffalo and elk meat products. Their buffalo graze naturally on open range grasslands in a ranch setting. Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Company supports the ranching traditions of the Great American West. They believe in raising animals on the open range; rejecting growth hormones, steroids and antibiotics; and, Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Company works to preserve grasslands for the next generation.
