Tales From Nature: Introducing 3H Photography — by Wayne Hassinger, 3H Photography

Hey friends,

I’m Wayne Hassinger, the eye behind the lens at 3H Photography, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this journey with you here on Wyoming Lifestyle Magazine – The Blog. This post marks the first in a series where I’ll be sharing my world of wildlife and nature photography across the great state of Wyoming and the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

A Wyoming native, I was born and raised in Cheyenne while spending a great deal of time on my grandparent’s ranch near Laramie Peak. My time spent out in the wild under the open skies surrounded by the untamed landscapes shaped not only my childhood, but my lifelong passion for wildlife and nature. Through my lens, I aim to capture the rugged beauty, raw emotion, and quiet wonder of the Rocky Mountains and the American West. I’ve spent a lifetime drawn to wild and serene places—the alpine lakes at sunrise, the shadowed trails where elk slip through the timber, the golden hour when mother nature paints the most beautiful scenes. There’s something sacred in those moments. My camera allows me to capture those moments and share them with the world—and now, this blog provides me an opportunity to share my pictures and my experiences with you.

Each post in this series will feature one or several of my limited-edition fine art photographs, but I’m not just here to show you the images that I’ve made. I’ll also be telling the stories behind the shots—what I like to call Tales From Nature. You’ll get to hear about the long hikes, the near misses, the awe-inspiring wildlife encounters, and the way nature can still knock the breath right out of you when you least expect it.

Come along with me through the high mountain valleys, across windswept ridgelines, quiet riverbanks, and sometimes even the wide-open sagebrush country that stretches for miles under Wyoming’s endless sky. Some locations are well-known, others are off the beaten path—but each has its own story, its own spirit, and hopefully, through my lens and words, a place in your heart.

Thank you for letting me share my work and passion with you. I hope these photographs—and the tales behind them—help you feel more connected to the wild world we’re lucky enough to call home.

Until next time, keep looking toward the horizon.
